Staff Accountant/Office Manager
Neal is a Staff Accountant and Office Manager with a strong background in tax resolution. He graduated from Western Governor’s University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
Neal began his career at Smith’s Tax Solutions in 2018 and has excelled as a staff accountant and office manager. In this role, he has been responsible for managing day-to-day operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, and client communication.

Throughout his career, Neal has demonstrated a strong work ethic and a commitment to providing exceptional service to his clients. He has a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations and has helped many clients save money and improve their financial situation.

Neal is a detail-oriented professional who is always looking for ways to improve processes and find efficiencies. He is a skilled communicator and collaborator who works well with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

Enrolled Agent/Owner
Vickie T. Smith, EA has been preparing tax returns since 1987. As an Enrolled Agent (EA), Vickie is a federally-authorized tax practitioner who has technical expertise in the field of taxation and who is empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before all administrative levels of the Internal Revenue Service for audit, collections, and appeals.
Vickie’s areas of expertise lie in audit representation before federal and state taxing authorities, personal and business income tax returns, and small business tax consulting. She has always specialized in taxation and enjoys learning all the new tax laws to better serve her clients.

Staff Accountant
Nathan graduated from the University of Phoenix in March of 2021 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Accounting and becoming licensed as a Certified Public Accountant. He provides a variety of client services including financial statement compilation, bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation. He enjoys forming close relationships with clients ensuring that all of their accounting needs are met.

Accounting Assistant
Sunnie is an accounting assistant with a keen eye for detail. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Pennsylvania West University in 1998 and an Master’s of Business Administration with a concentration in Supply Chain Management from the California State University at Hayward in 2001. After a dedicated career in finance and business consulting, Sunnie, her husband and three cats moved to the Shoals for a quieter way of life. Sunnie didn’t enjoy the quiet, so she is now committed to helping STS clients with all their accounting needs and studying for the Selective Enrollment Examination to become an Enrolled Agent.
